As there are lots of skills involved with using this learning tool, the teachers would like to hear from the students about what they think about the various skills needed.
What skills do you think students need to demonstrate to earn their Learners Licence?

What skills do you think students need to demonstrate to earn their Provisional Licence?

What skills do you think students need to demonstrate to earn their Full Licence?

    Dear Teachers,
How to use your iPad correctly

1.Know how to manage your files.
2.Make sure you know how to put your profile on your home Screen And lock screen because all of the iPads look the same and if someone opens it they will see your face and know its not theirs.
3.Be sure you know how to take care of your iPad
4.Charge your iPad when you know it needs charging or if its low on charge.
5.Know all of your Your peripherals because if you think a cord goes into a certain input and if it doesn’t then you try to shove it in it will mess that input.
6.Close all of your apps on multitask by double clicking the home button or by swiping 4 fingers up then hold the app that appears at the bottom then click the minus, you need to do this because it things you are still using that app and it wastes battery.
7.If something innapappropriate comes up ignore it and tell the teacher.
8.Know your extra features with the keyboard, it will help a lot.
9.Keep your volume down in class so you don’t distract others.
10.Dont be dishonest if you have been on something innapappropriate because you will just get in more trouble.
11.Know which pop-ups to say allow and disallow to.
12.Do what you are told for example; If the teacher tells you do go blogging go blogging.
13.If your an app expert help other people.

    Dear Teachers,

Here are my ideas for the iPad licensing agreement.

For students to get your leaners permit you need to know :
    • Able to open and close apps
    • Able to have appropriate home screen photo
    • Able to turn on & off your iPad
    • Able to tell or report to a teacher
    • Able to use home apps when allowed too

For a student to get previsional license you need to know:

    • Able to listen and follow the instructions the teachers set
    • Being in a spot where your iPad screen can be seen by the teachers
    • Able to report inappropriate content they might find
    • Able to charge your iPad when it is below 50%

For a student to get a full license they need to know:

    • A person who doesn’t download or update apps
    • Able to do set tasks immediately
    • Knows when to use and take home the iPad
    • Need to know all of the provisional and

    Dear Teachers,
What I think to have a license is to be responsible and take care of the iPad. Also you need to learn a few things to earn your right to the iPad.

For learners you should be able to do these things.
1.Be able to change a wallpaper to your face as the screen
2.close all the open apps after each lesson
3.not to use inappropriate apps at school
    4. Teachers tell you what app to use
    5. To keep your iPad on your lap or on the table
    6. Be able to take pictures
    7. Put your iPad on charge when needed

These are the most of things that you need to know to earn you’re learners license.
Here is what you need to earn your professional permit
    1. Be able to choose the appropriate apps for each session
    2. To be able to make a post
    3. To be able to use the iPad sensibly without teacher supervision
4.to be able to change settings
    5. Be trusted on the iPad

To earn your full right you will be allowed to take the device home and back. But earn this you must agree all the I.C.T policies.
    1. Can be trusted on all apps without supervision of teachers
    2. Does not go on inappropriate websites during class time
    3. Does no play games during class time
    4. Know what app should be using
    5. Use iPad at anytime but for reasonable uses
That’s what you need to know about getting your learners, professional and full license.

    Sincerely,
    Prakashika

    Dear teachers,

I believe to get a full license for an iPad you have to go through certain stages. I already know that the teachers have set it up that way, but to achieve each stage you have to do certain things. These are the things I believe we should know before we get our license.

What skills do you think students need to demonstrate to earn their Learners Licence?

To achieve the ‘Learners’ stage we should know….
    • we should have a home/lock screen with our face on it so we can recognise whose iPad it is
    • when we use the iPads at school, we use them for educational purposes only
    • any inappropriate content that you may come across, you should immediately report it to a teacher
    • you should never leave your iPad on the floor, it should be on the trolley or on a table
    • you should know how to turn your iPad on and off
    • you have to close all your apps before you shut down or when you turn off your iPad

What skills do you think students need to demonstrate to earn their Provisional Licence?

To achieve the ‘Provisional’ stage you should know….
    • only open our iPad when we are told to
    • when you email or message somebody, it must be appropriate content
    • don’t use abbreviations such as LOL, BRB, U, R
    • don’t play your games from home at school unless you are told to
    • when you email on your iPad you still have to cc it to a teacher
    • you must sit in a certain position so the teacher can see the screen of your iPads

What skills do you think students need to demonstrate to earn their Full Licence?

To earn your ‘Full License’ stage you should know….
    • you must sit in a certain position so the teacher can see the screen of your iPad

These are the standards I believe the level 4’s will be able to achieve throughout the year.

    Hello level 4 teachers,

What I think to have a licence is that you have to show you can be responsible with the iPad and know how to use it properly. There are a few things that I know how to use an iPad responsibly and properly:

    – Do not visit sites or play games that are not educational during learning time

    – Don’t leave the iPad on the floor or near water, because it may become damaged.

    – Have a photo of yourself as the screensaver and wallpaper so people can know who owns the iPad

    – Have an iPad cover so it will be protected

    – Shut down all apps you have finished using

    – Make sure your iPad is charged

    – Report any inappropriate sites that pop up to a teacher

    – Know how to connect your iPad to Apple TV

    – Sit somewhere where the teacher can see your iPad

    – Know how power off the iPad, restart the iPad, turn the iPad on and off

    – Don’t take any photos or videos of anyone without their permission

-Make sure you have all the apps downloaded or updated that the school has listed

Know how to successfully turn off an IPad
Know how to connect to Wifi

For you Red P’s you should:
Know the difference between the school network and the online network
Know most of the gestures so you can use shortcuts

For your Green P’s you should:
Know all the different things about all the apps

    For your full license:
You should know everything about the IPad
You should always be using the IPad respectfully

Those are the things that I should think you should know to get each part of your licenses.

    Hello teachers,

Here’s what I think everyone needs to show to be able to get their licenses –

~ Turn off all apps that are on
~ Fully turn off and on an iPad
~ Go on the apps the teacher/s have assigned for you
~ Not going on any inappropriate things such as, websites, games etc..
~ Never leave your iPad on the floor, either in the tray on in your lap
~ Tell the teacher if something inappropriate pops up
    ~ Reboot an iPad
~ Be trusted on an iPad
~ Knowing where the charger goes, headphones go, etc..
    ~ Using all apps appropriately

This is what I think you need to be able to do / show the teachers to get your license.

    Hello teachers

I think for learners licence you should watch how the students act with it and if they get in trouble to many times keep them waiting.

For the Provisional Licence I think they should do a test about the iPad and still look at how they act

For full licence they must do nothing wrong for a hole year do a hard test and have to sign up for an appointment.
